Canmaker - Cans of the Year
MUHR-TinKart, our new two-part welded tinplate cartridge for silicones, acrylics and adhesives, has been honored with the Bronze Award in the Prototypes category at the Cans of the Year Award during the Canmaker Summit in Edinburgh/Scotland!
The Canmaker Award is a prestigious award in the packaging industry. It is awarded annually by the Canmaker Magazine Group and honors outstanding innovations and technical advances in packaging technology. Winners are selected by a panel of industry experts who evaluate entries based on a number of criteria, including level of innovation, technical advancement, product quality and market launch potential.
The awards ceremony takes place during the Canmaker Summit conference, which is held at various locations around the world.

KG and Sika Deutschland GmbH have stood out with their newly developed, sustainable concept of tinplate cartridges for various adhesives and sealants - the MUHR-TinKart - and have already been awarded the German Packaging Award 2023. The award-winning concept is based on an almost 100% recyclable tinplate cartridge made from certified bluemint® recycled steel.
When compared to plastic and aluminum cartridges commonly used today, the tinplate cartridge offers significant improvements in terms of recyclability and carbon footprint.
